aright leo yes it will be worth getting de-cat but the only problem been with the re map is you cant re map the evo 4 ecu u will need to get a later ecu from 5/6 is best as its plug straight in or you can get 7/8 but there is playing about to do with wiring ect you will also need to get yourself 5/6 injectors and a uprated fuel pump walbro 255 will do the trick before you finally go for the re map

hope this helps bud :)

PS u will see some nice power once these mods have been carried out:D:D:D

with that mods i have listed you will be looking at between 330-350 you dont want to really go much more than that with the 4 as the engine cant handle more than that bud
but that is some good figures though :)

Look under the drivers side access panels under the rear seat. If it's had a fuel pump then you probably find the two metal pipes the head off down the side of the tank have been cut and joined with rubber pipe cos unles you drop the whole fuel tank from the car the you cant get the fuel pump assembly out the hole without cutting the 2 metal pipes or dropping the whole fuel tank and so you'll find that alot of people will cut the lines then re-connect with rubber pipe.

A de-cat will be obvious it's a section of exhaust towards front of car about a foot long and will either be just a bit of 3" pipe with flange on each end or if it's a silenced one it will be slightly wider but but if you undo the 2 bolts at one end and look inside it will be hollow :)

Ecu is located behind glove box on the A pillar as for the cat the you could hollow it it out but probably best to buy a de-cat cos they are only about £30 to buy and you could prob weigh your old cat in at the scrappy but be warned unless you know a nice bloke then you'll need your cat come MOT time.

Ha ha, now were talking, here is my beast which started off as a 300tdi commercial then I put it on it's side on a road as a result of the steering arm dropping out so me and a mat turned it into this
