De-Cat

im considering getting a De-Cat pipe for my fq340 e8,is there any changes this will do to my car like noise,performance,pops and bangs? also does it make a difference on the size as ihave seen 2" ones or 3"? i can use my mates ramps to change back for M.O.Ts and i will probably be getting a re map done some time soon as i have fitted a hks dumpvalve a few weeks a go. Any help will be much appreciated thanks

Well the most noticeable difference will be that the car has more poke!

As for the pops and bangs, that will be down to the map.

I know that Geof has a de-cat for sale and it is keenly priced too so you might want to grab it quick buddy!:

ive a magnex modular/turbow elbow going into a rexpeed resinator de cat going into a blitz nur spec, so in total my exhaust system costs over £900 ish. does it make it faster ????????? hell ye (including other mods and mapped):razz::razz::razz:

boost will raise slightly and also fueling will be altered a little, so safest to get the fueling/knock checked after fitting.

it will probably be fine, but always best to check for what it costs.

Gotta agree with ya there Geof, most times the decats advertised as 3" are mostly 3" outer diameter so not worth it and when they are genuine 3" it makes no difference overall as the rest of the pipes are standard.
