hi folks

Dont normally post on here, usually just lurk but i have a problem and was looking for some help.

after my evo 6 starting 1st time every week (saturdays normally) i left it for a week and now t wont start.

I assumed it was the battery and hooked up my 1l Yaris to the car and still no starty, i get all my lights etc and all i get is a click from the starter.

could it be that
1: the yaris didnt have enough juice for a start up
2: the jump lead were too big (ie the ones rated for 3000cc and diesel cars etc)
3: does the car have a fuel cut off as there wasnt much fuel in it and the tank could be empty

Any help or ideas would be great

Cheers

Dell

I'd say chuck a load of fuel in it and try again. Also check the imobiliser is off :)

Don't think it would be fuel and if it was immobilser related you wouldn't even get a click. So I would put it down to battery or starter motor

I would try jump starting it from a larger car to be honest mate :)

I had the same problem with mine (flat battery) and I asked a guy with a 1.0L Corsa for a jump start and it didn't work, a guy in a Renault Megane Sport offered my a jump start and there were no problems with it, started first time  Give it a go and see how you get on.

Ah I must have missed that part :)

Shouldn't need much to start it though cos they only use the battery from a micra to get them going anyway.

If the battery has enough juice to put the ignition lights on then why not bump start it :)

got it sorted thanks guys

All it needed was a couple of bump starts and it seems to have freed off the starter motor.
