Crankshaft Damper?

Would appreciate some advice please.

A grooved wheel fell out of the engine bay, and rolled down the road, whilst motoring yesterday. Very disconcerting - horrible squealing noise, loads of what I took to be steam (water top-up completely empty, but seemed to be water in the rad - perhaps sprayed onto hot brake disc),but belt still in place which has me puzzled! Had to be low-loaded home.

Was advised it was the crankshaft damper that had fallen off (means very little to me),but when I search the product list on Camskill, for Evo IV, I only come up with a main Crankshaft Cog at about 60 quid. Is this the same thing?

Thanks for any help available.

The damper is part of the Pulley buddy.

It is the section that is rubberised to dampen the rotational judder.

At £60 brand new and delivered, you are getting a good deal!
