Frankie,
the fact that the engines suffer from crank walk does not necessarily mean that the crank will go for a walk when you are utilising those extra horses.

Have you bought all the parts that you need???

if the engine is well looked after and is continued to be, you shouldn't worry. People bitch and moan about crank walk, ive never heard of any EvoIVs' with it.

The chances are that your IV has it. The thing is, to have it might only mean that it has occurred to a thou or so.

This is a subject that has been talked about to death. It is not an issue like most say that it is. I have had people bring their III's etc to me many years back and when checked they had end float. 4 or 5 years later, they are still driving them so why the big deal????

The thing you have to take into consideration Steve is that they are more or less the same engine.

What it does or does not do is just something that has been blown out of proportion. It is just something that other car owners pick up on as they have noting better to do with their time.

Give them an Evo and they will soon show their other faces!!!

Show me an engine that can not suffer from end float and I will be impressed.

Just make sure that you do not dip your clutch before the engine has warmed up on a cold start. That is one of the main culprits for causing it!!

When is your car booked in for the work???
