Could anyone pls tell me what this button is used for

Isn't that just the LED to show the alarm/tracker/whatever is active?

There is a light that shows alarm on flashing but there is a little button also I have it on my sst. Don't know what it's for tho

Definitely a button, there seems to be no led and yes It's on a SST.

That's the LED for the alarm. The little button on it is for entering a code if your alarm fob/key battery dies. You should have a card with a four digit code on with your paperwork.
