coil packs

hi can some1 please tell me the best procedure for testing the coil packs?

i can confirm the tounge on the end of the ht lead isnt the right way just trust me on that

tounge goes numb after first one so you cant check the others

What do you want to test them for? If the engine doesn't run, they're duff.

That's fine just dont try and join them lol. Electronics are a funny thing some people don't like them as you cant see electricity

test resistance across pins 2+3

good packs should be around 1.2-1.4kohm

if your reading is half that then there pretty much goosed.

i would try and find someone who you know has decent packs and test for the same on theirs. Mine are slowly dying but i'm asking a lot from them. I'll be getting CDi before its mapped on Vipec

Whats leading you to believe they may be goosed? Are you getting misfiring etc?
