Bit lost as to what it could be other than maybe the reciever for the alarm has packed in...

Got in the car yesterday and fob just wasn't working, light was flashing on the fob but would de activate the alarm. Tried the spare fon and i put a new battery in the fob and tried to re-synic'd still no joy. the light just don't go out on the fob. But as the fob was working guessing that the fault isn't with that but more to do with the system itself.

Coming back from Japfest, got fuel and used the pen in the dash to knock off the alarm, lights flashed, heard the pump but wouldn't start..:hm: few minutes of faffing and it did go, Sunday it started fine althought there is a delay from turning the key to it actually turning over, imobliser issue?

Any ideas? Other than ripping it out and replacing? :whistling:

My fob completely packed up on me but before it did I had prob after prob where I would be pushin the button and nothin. I would get it along to a garage a like you say the fault could be with either. For alarms on the Evo I found funnily enough mitsubishi are cheaper than other places

Cheers Craig , the fob is the same as the cobra..New fob and all ok?

Think its battery related as stuck jump leads on and fires no issues.. will use the keycode later and see if the fob will connect to the system and go from there.. knew battery wasnt the best but think its given up. Volt meter is showing good charge so think I may need to pick up a battery

Well thought it was the alarm but could be battery, New battery and going to try and re sync the fob using the keycode and go from there..thought it was the alarm, but with extra charge there was no issues.
