clutch spring

hi , im looking to buy a evo 2 gsr, the only problem is the current owner has told me one of the springs in/behind the clutch has gone, an the pedal is only coming half way up by its self. He said the part is only about £4,

i was wondering if anyone has come across this problem before, and is it a complex job to do?

Youve got to wonder if it really is a £4 job, why not do it himself...
Id say there is more to it than that.
