clutch over heated or on its way out?

hi guys, off the light's the other day with a 911 it slip in 1st to 4th what a prick i looked lol anyway now it seem's ok? Not slipping at all, tho it is quite high and been in the car for about a year or so. I didn't launch but did try and get away quick. Any info would be great Cheers

Good chance it's on it's way out, more so if the pedal is high

My old 4 puck was the same, althought that wasn't worn, it was high. First the odd bit of slip then it got worse and worse. If its a stock clutch probably on its last legs if it's been given plenty of abuse.

Does the car sit around during the week?

Had this on my impreza, car used to get used once in a while then when had it mapped it was slipping for 4 runs hen it was fine and I never replaced the clutch

yes it does mate and its just been mapped so maybe!?

It used to do it quite often,

I'd keep driving it until it gets worse then get it looked at,
In the impreza when it hadn't been drive for a while
When I went to give it some it would do it, but if I drove for 10 odd miles odd, warm it up of you like it was fine

cool cheers will have to pop out see what is what. Think it mite be a bit of both to be fair as im Useing the car less and less!

just been out and all seem's fine? 5th gear 3k rev's foot flat to the floor and no spinning so must of over heated that day. Like said it is a bit high will keep that in mind and stop launching lol
