As someone has mentioned before about where to get clutches from. I got an organic 789 clutch from Aztec racing, arrived within 3 working days, cost 249 delivered and I spoke to exedy prior to buying and Aztec are an authorised dealer for their clutches.

Great price great service and arrived all as it should

If you haven't already, i know people have eluded to it already but its called the release bearing not a 'throw out bearing' (we're British, not yanks) and you'll need to unclip it before going further as its a bitch to do.

Thanks for that Steve. I have the new clutch in now and the box back on. Just got to put it back together lol

Indigo gt sell fluid for the ayc if my memory is correct,

Clutch change is on my list of things to do, was going to remove the engine and do it on the floor same was what I used to do with the gt4, to much fading around on the car lol.

Started mine today, found it an absolute pig to wriggle out of the car but I think my job was made harder by the fact that the transfer box is still in there just pushed to one side, and it's stopping the engine dropping any more, well box it off clutch off ready for the new one at some point tomos, plate has only just gone and the clutch housing has been makin it slip at it sensed it was too low, very smart design

Hi guys

Quick up date and a question

Update is the new clutch is in car is back together and starts yay

My question is .... When I start the car with the clutch pedal pressed it rev's up but when I raise the pedal the car try's to move forward but it's NOT in gear ?????

When I lift fully it dose stop but I don't think is right cos the rev's drop quite a bit is. Is there some kind of fine adjustment that I could do to stop this???

Thanks
Rich

Yes,your clutch isnt seperating fro the flywheel! if you leave it you will destroy your clutch in no time!

have you bled the clutch?

Fine adjustment is on the pedal (just look up and you will see a threaded rod)

best to put the car on 4 jackstands and see where the clutch engagement(bite) point is.

do you have any free play in the pedal travel?you should.

Yes I have bled the clutch thinking that may help but no change.

I did see a web site that tried to explain how to adjust the clutch but I couldn't make head or tail on what to do lol

I would imagine that the nut needs to be loosened then it's a case of twisting the rod but in wot direction do I need to turn it ???
