clutch biting point at the bottom

Right drove home tonight from work in my evo 4,when I set off my clutch pedal seemed to have less resistance than usual and my biting point felt lower than normal...went in to gear as normal in all gears,no clutch slip at all as I gave it a good test on the way home. The biting point got lower and lower on the way home but then came back higher ?? Any ideas. Thanks in advance

Maybe have a leak have a look at the pipes etc see if anything is leaking but would normally fail if leaking and loose the pedal completely so not sure clutch maybe on its way out maybe worth a quick bleed with fresh fluid see if any different

Yes check for leak as well as air in the line would be my suggestion.

Can't see any leaks, had a good look when I got in but I thought it may be fluid related as it got better when pumped.

Sounds like fluid or it needs to be bled since it stiffened up when you pumped it. Always good to not have leaks

Sounds like your getting air in the system, of you can't see any fluid then I would be looking at master cylinder replacement

The fluid looked pretty murky and needed a little top up in the resevoir. I've flushed out the system and bled it through till the new fluid came through steadily.
I think it was a good move as the pedal is now as it should be with the correct resistance again and the gear change feels a little smoother than before happy again
