Got rid of my K1 and picked up and Evo IX FQ-320. I had an Evo IV previously and a Subaru blob eye STi but wanted another Evo again, so picked this up last week

The Evo IV i previously had

Unfortunately how it finished it's life

The car has the usual FQ-320 spec - HKS Hardpipe kit, HKS Superdrager Exhaust (de-cated)
Remap by Indigo GT currently running 401bhp
Walbro fuel pump
Tein lowering springs
Zito Astro alloys
Whiteline rear ARB
Whiteline drop links all round
Whiteline Roll Centre kit
Polybushed rear end
Polybushed top engine mount
Exeedy HD twin plate clutch
HEL Brake lines all round
HEL clutch line
AMS Solid shifter cable bushes
Nevernever man solid gear base bushes
Red coolant hoses
Stick on front number plate
Tints
Smoked side repeaters
Clarion VX402E stereo
Prosport dual colour boost gauge
R-Spec pillar pod
LED interior and exterior bulbs

Also the car benefits from having a set of rare seats

Here's how i picked it up

Ordered a couple of bits

Then got the tints sorted and gave the car a wash and took some pics

Next up a new rear licence plate and hopefully some form of induction. Future plans are some carbon goodies - front splitter, side extensions, etc...

Detango'd the front headlights, didn't spray them black as i'm a fan of the dark chrome centre and light colour against the bumper and wing, i also wanted a different look to my Subaru and i sprayed those black.
Also had Barry from Safe & Sound fit me a new Toad alarm as i was sick of the Cobra one on the car, wasn't a fan. Once again top work and great service from Barry.
Lastly got a carbon domed rear number plate

Bulbs ready for the detango'ing

Number plate

Few pics that night after the cinema since the multistory was pretty empty

Few bits done on the car recently, firstly some new radiator stays, mine had started to rust so were looking a little worse for for wear

Also got a battery cover and heat shield so things look a little tidier

Spoiler has been sanded down and re-lacquered too, happy with the result, looks mega in person

Before

During

Finished - just needs a buff once it has hardened enough

Bought a carbon splitter for the front. I went for a Ralliart style one as i think they look a little meaner than the FQ360 style

Have also stripped down all the suspension this weekend and re-greased everything, as i had an annoying knock. All sorted now and feeling much better and no noise.

Next up is more carbon and some new wheels over the next couple of months :D

nice mate, but remove the chavy MLR sticker off the boot!!!

Strategic sticker mate. Slight lacquer peel there so it covers it for now. Feel free to suggest a better sticker, always open to suggestions lol

Give me a couple of weeks mate and i will send you a special one out free of charge!:p

;) It will replace the MLR one then. Not a massive fan of it but it does the job for now. But if you've got a better one will go on the car ;)

Nice evo mate! Did you not remove the spoiler to rub down and re-lacquer it? Need to do my one soon and not sure weather to remove it or not. Spoiler looks really good on yours!

Thanks mate. Originally we wanted to take it off but I think its stikaflex'd on or something as it wasn't budging, didn't want to wreck the boot lid so left it on and everything was done on the car. My mate did it tbh I just 'helped'. Sanding it down was the worst bit really

Looks good mate. My spoiler is mega worse than that so I'm getting a lil more involved with a soda blaaster to remove laquer

Done some mods to the car, was liking the look with the carbon splitter so got carbon side spats, skirt extensions and rear extensions, got all these fitted.

Then decided to order some new wheels, couple of days later these arrived

Got them fitted and did some more pics :)

Then today i got a delivery of Carbotech XP8 front pads and Godspeed grooved discs, next job is to fit

Cheers mate.

I've heard only good things about them so just decided to bite the bullet and get them. Hopefully I won't be disappointed

New brakes fitted yesterday along with a full brake fluid change and some new rear pads. Difference is night and day, very pleased with the XP8's

Can't wait to wear my pads out now

Did you do the bedding in procedure? It's a bit different to normal.

Yeah followed the bedding in process which was fun lol
They are immense brakes though and I haven't majorly pushed them yet but they are so much better than the ones I took off. Recommend definitely
