Looks a cool lay out more of the main track which is fast.

So did you enjoy the day or think that was alot of cash for what it was? ie seat time.
They are good fun enjoyed the 4 times I competed but always came away thinking I need to spend X amount to make it a quicker car and ended wreaking a good rd car in my case lol.

You looked to be going well Lee, certainly getting to grips with Combe at least. Nice vid. Was sat at Quarry then later at Tower with Steve, was itching to get out myself but not this time...... have to wait for next year now to pop my sprint cherry at Combe.

Thanks for the comments !!

Nick I reckon jam might have struggled with that pace, was on the limit of what my car could do.. 120mph heading into tower :)

Daz what I don't like is the fact 400bhp cars like john@evobreakers in his class b car was quicker round there than me. Now I tried and tried and tried again but had prety much the same result each time ??? Was good though just need a lighter better car I suppose as mine is my daily car it's still full fat lol

Yes fubes I seen you parked up on tower, did you see the silver IX go off ??

Kind of mate but it's my daily user and I'm a bit of a polisher so I'm not going to rip the car apart and reck it just for a few tenths of a second.

I only really wanted to do it as the circuit is local to me and I've watched it there before and I've never really driven Combe so it's a good way to learn the track without being hit by anyone :):)

Not to bad, sprint cost £130 to enter then add to that fuel food drinks etc I drove to the event and left home with a full tank and took a gerry can of fuel with me which I put in 2 runs before the end and drove home on it with a bit left so not to bad. 25 mile 50 min drive each way

Thats right Lee. When drivers build cars "JUST" for the MLRSS and run in (Fast road) Yet never drive the car on the road as its unbearable it kind of puts a downer on it. The normal folk that turn up in there daily will never be in with a chance.

When I took part I always came away unhappy with the car so this n that was always spent and in the end I was left with a Evo that was only suited to being thrashed around a track and was horrible to drive on the road. :(

Don`t get me wrong I bet like me you had a right laugh but when looking at the times on the screen you were like WTF ! ! . The regs need abit of adjusting but it will be impossible to please everyone like i said before I would of loved to have a crack back 3-4 years ago, as it seemed back then members just went for a crack in there daily Evo. Now with drivers being sponsored with free parts etc its gone abit serious from a club day out. John will more than likey walk class B this year as he seems to have alot of power (500hp??) and a well set up car. Can see that from the results at combe 2nd place was miles away lol.

The cost of the day never sounds bad but when you have only around 10-15mins seat time in total during the day its abit funny. (All day track day at castle combe at the rs owners show is only around £110)

Was thinking of doing sprints BUT £130 for just 10-15mins seat time is not good.
I think I will just stick with trackdays.
I did a trackday @ combe last year for £150 for the day with unlimited runs.

Why are sprints so expensive compared to all day trackdays ??

Probably cos they take alot more organising and running with all the timing gear and trophies etc where as Combe track day is pretty much turn up and go. If you do one of combes own track days then it's £199 so that makes the sprint quite cheap really :)

Great video. Must have been fun :) I wouldn't spend £130 for 15 minutes though! I'd fill the tank up a couple of times and go for a blast on the moors :)
