My first car, stripped out and caged Ibiza 1.4GL......... 2.0GTi with kent cams engine under the bonnet

Moved into a GTi TDi 150 mapped to 200bhp, used to squeal the tyres in 2nd gear when the turbo kicked in :awesome:

Swapped that for an E36 M3 Evolution, loved this car :wub:

Swapped that for the scooby (big mistake!!) ended up ending a fortune on the subaru!

Sold that for not much money compared to what I spent ad bought my current daily driver E46 320CD I've remapped it and blanked of the swirl flaps :angel:

Then got the evo :wub: :awesome: :wub:


Had a few other cars like TDi audi's, alfa 156 but not got pics.

Not quick by modern day standard's anymore and you can't get more than 320bhp out of them really with out doing stupid things:whistling: But where they lack in power they make up in Handlng if you can find a well looked after rust free one that is as the whole back end just rot's out:hm:

cheers, theres prob quite a few i have missed out too as that list was what i could remember of the top of my head.. going back a few years now i was known as darren-3000gt on another forum and forgot my sign in details and knowing my car changing history they re-named my username to car-mad-1980 and its stuck since lol

had the evo about 3 weeks now, i did keep my last car ( supra mk3 turbo ) for 9 months so im getting better but this bloody knocking noise i have from from left is doing my head in to the point i dont want to drive the car

have replaced bottom arm, wheel bearing, track rod end and its still there ggrrr

Top mounts?
Diff bolts?

Both relatively common. Especially the top mounts knocking.

Thats what im going to try next, did jack car up today to check top mounts and all feel fine but i have read that even though they may seem fine that they can still be bad

Need to find a "how to" on doing diff bolts as never done them before
