That is how they are buddy,
you need to check if your actuator has an umbrella on it or it will seize up sooner or later. They do come with umbrella's as standard but always worth a check.

Make sure that your HT leads are fastened properly so they do not let residue in.
I will be posting that fluid out to you tomorrow buddy so you should have it on Wednesday morning.

On all other Evos i know off there is meant to be a metal shield to stop rain a water going straight onto the engine and manifold.

This is under the mesh grill

What ARE these Japs playing at????

Quite right Mark but there are so many variations on the Carbon jobs that some come with the shields, some don't, I have come across both types but each time that I have, I have always made a point to check if there is an umbrella on the actuator.

A little water never hurt anybody.

On the I,II & III the vent is directly above the fuse box and does not have a shield at all, if an NIC Sparky was to see that he would call in the Health and Safety Executive for sure LOL!!!!

Some times the Japs make me wonder:rolleyes:
