Hello all, so i've had this evo for about 2 years and all of a sudden i cannot shift into first, or any other gear for that matter, from a stop. I can force it into first if i push on it enough, but i when i do im afraid im gonna break something else because of how hard i'm pushing. Also, when i do get it into gear the car moves forward as if its an automatic transmisson without me pushing on the gas. Anyone have any ideas?

worth checking the gearbox oil before taking any further steps.
if thats ok then replace the clutch kit.

aye sounds like the clutch to me, but would be worth checking the gear oil first if thats dry or low that could cause the gears to be pretty sticky m8.

is it hydraulic or cable type ? , stretched cable or system may need bleeding , other than that would point to clutch problems :(

gear oil would more cause crunching or friction felt through the shifter into gears rather than it not selecting at all , other points are a broken selector fork :( but as above check cable and pull length or bleed the system
