Top Secret can take a hike as far as I am concerned.

This 100 post minimum thing is a bit of an idea but I have been thinking in the mean time that it might not pan out because all someone will have to do when they join up is double post or chat dribble for a day or so and then they are in.

It might be better if it is a 1000 post minimum thing perhaps. :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

Well I guess the type of crowd that we pull here is more Community orientated and civilised, opposed to a load of sarcastic keyboard warriors that have nothing better to do with there time that seem to plague the majority of Forums out there so it might never happen.

Then again, who knows!

It would not really be hard to set up at all and would not change the Forum in any way either.

Yes but I think what Nick is on about is more a case of what has been happening over the road where anyone and everyone posts up a load of tripe that can be upsetting or unwarranted thereby ending up with the whole Thread getting binned.

What may be considered funny by someone can be upsetting to others.

The actual idea is a good one as it goes simply because it would be a section that you can only post on when you have reached a certain post count which may help bring perusers into posting mode.

I am not entertaining the idea on the merit that it will help us avoid what has been going on over the road as I believe that we are a more civilised Community and everyone is on a level.

It might be good simply because you need to have a post count to get in.

There are around 30+ members that just post in a blue moon but are logged in daily for hours at a time.

It may help to get them and others like them out of their shells.

Look at it this way Martin:

When a For Sale Thread is posted over the road, fully paid up members get to have a look at it right away.

Freebie Members can not have a look at the ad until 3 days have passed and sometimes, not for a week or so as the thread keeps getting updated or bumped so the 3 day rule starts again from scratch.

It does not affect you at all as you are fully paid up but what about the Freebie Members???

If they were allowed to take a look, they might buy the item and the seller would not have to sit on it and keep bumping every so often so what is the harm???

The harm is that over the road want £35 off you that you have not given them yet and they hope that you might just pay as you need parts but are unable to get them because you do not have access to the ads.

In the same way, we could have a section that blocks entry to those that fall below a certain post count and all they would have to do is start posting for the privilege.

It will cost nothing and might actually get non active members participating.

It will not be a case of; you chat crap so sorry, no entry for you.
