Can someone please confirm for me if these brake pads and disc's come from the front or rear of my evo 4 and if they fit evo's 4/5/6?

They came in the boot of my evo 4 I've just bought, and seem in good condition (apart from surface rust) so I'm thinking of selling them on.

Cheers

Not sure about the discs.....but I don't think the pads will be suitable for a 5/6 mate.

If you look on websites that sell evo parts (e.g, unit-8) rear pads are not shown as 4/5/6. 4 tends to be on there own, then 5/6.

Hope this helps mate :)

The discs are rear discs but not sure if they are for Evo 4/5/6 if the are for an Evo 4 then they won't fit a 5/6 and vice versa

Pads are front pads from a Evo 4 but won't fit a Evo 5/6

Nailed it!!!

Also, there are two different sizes when it comes to discs so you need to measure the diameter buddy as it will cause problems for the buyer.

Just looked them up on Brakes Int. and the brake disc's are from the rear and will fit evo's 4/5/6/7/8 and are 284mm

The pads are also from the rear and fit evo's 4/5/6/7/8/9 (1 Pot Caliper only)

Thats weird, I know evo 4's never came with brembo's but I measured the brake disc's i'm selling and they are 284mm and according to Brake's Int. the same size disc's should fit evo's 4/5/6/7/8 (1 Piston)

And again according to Brakes Int.the pads should fit evo's 4/5/6/7/8/9 (1 pot caliper)

I'm only going by what Brakes Int. state on there catalog and the size of the brakes I have infront of me, mate

Evo 4 rear brakes = 284mm Ventilated Disc with Single Pot Calipers.

Evo 5 rear brakes = Brembo 300mm Ventilated Disc with Single Pot Calipers
(284mm Ventilated Disc with Single Pot Calipers)

I have a sneaking suspicion that the smaller discs on the 5 (as shown above) maybe from an RS, as they didn't come with brembo's either (as standard) :)

I would advertise them as for a Evo 4 only, just to cover your arse :)

The set up on the IV is different from the V & VI.

It may well be that the pads are the same, it may well be that they are not.

The best bet is to advertise them as Evo IV parts only and leave it at that buddy.

El, I think the pads will definatley be different mate. As with the V you have the brembo calipers, so they have the pins to hold the clip and pads in place.....going from these pictures it looks as though they don't have the holes that are there on the V pads.

I know what you are saying buddy, I was just trying to point out to Celica Boy that regardless of how many models through the range they can fit, which I know for sure they can not, it is better to just list them as IV pads which will save headache all round.
