My evo4 starts normally when cold, it runs fine until i turn it of and try to restart it. when i go to restart it the engine mangement light comes and wont start until its cold again. can any1 give me any advice. would much appreciate it :)

I moved your post here for you, as it would probably of been over looked, and possibly gone un answered being in the wrong section :)

It's down to temperature in the end which is picked up by the coolant temp sensor. This will cause the ecu to throw a fit. I'd try changing the sensor first then see how that goes.

Cam sensor ....

Over time it degrades due to heat soak from the exhaust mani. You need a new one and its an easy swap out. Top right of the engine at the front.

flash the fault code out by bridging pin 1+4 on the obd port and this should tell you what sensor is causing the issue.

Reading the codes will be the quickest and easiest way of doing it without spending out loads changing parts that dnt need changing

If its throwing the wrong signal it will. Don't dismiss it just yet, but can sensor is another good port of call.

Temp sensor will make it over fuel but a non start no chance, you could disconnect the temp sensor and it would still start, even if it was totally duff there's no way the ecu would command that much fuel it would not start through excess fuel
