got a 2.4 stroker build almost completed. im running gtx35r turbo. i was wondering what are the best cams to opt for? im aiming for over 700hp mark, and about 8.5k rpm maybe more? i was thinking 288 degree cams? any thoughts? im using beehive springs and ti retainers aswell just for reference.

The higher the number the power comes in in higher rpm
If ur only revving to 8,5k I would think you would make more use of 272's plus they should spool ur turbo up quicker all depends where ur going to be driving it

cheers stevey. well its pretty much going to spend its time racing. hardly going to see the road. 90 percent of its time will be at york/ santa pod...the odd sprint and track day etc.

Drag I would go bigger like 280's as u will never drop out of there rev range

nice one, cheers for the help. more of a mid way between the 272 and 288. thought the 288 would be wasted as the 2.4 would not be very revvy

Ah yes 2.4 prob 272/280 somewhere there would be nice I have a set of 280 here still in 2 minds on putting them in

if a road car stay smaller if dragging then go big :O)

but alway ask your tuner or turbo supplier what they advise is the best for your application :O)
