Hello and welcome daisy lol when you say a chip evos are not chipped they are remapped so look for one thats had an ecutek remap which means future mapping sessions will be cheaper as the licence fee is already paid:)Do a search on here there are plenty of posts telling you what to look out for when buying your evo but put up some links to any that your thinking of looking at and we can give you our opinion:)

i have been looking into this for a guy at work too....
You will need to take the following documents to the DVLA local office (photocopies or faxed copies are not acceptable):

completed application form or V55/5 (for used vehicles)
a £55 registration fee (if applicable) and the required fee for the vehicle tax
a current British certificate of insurance
foreign registration document and any other papers relating to the vehicle
evidence showing the date the vehicle was collected
a current British MOT test certificate
documentation confirming your name and address.

you can keep the NI reg plate or request a GB one

its also illegal to drive a freshly imported car 10 year old+ car home from the docks/collection point without road tax so the above process needs to be adhered to before collection.

it obviously wont have a uk MOT certificate but it is legal to drive to one if it is booked

i hope this helps and isnt too confusing!! :hm: :whistling:
