hi there i have recently sold my last Subaru impreza i have just sold a sti v4 and had problems with bottom end just would like to know if evo's have a common weak point like the subaru and also which one is best.. i have always serviced my cars properly including the subaru this did not help the case of bottom end failure?????

Every car has its weak points, just depends how you prevent them.

Serviceing and consideration is all you need with an Evo.
If you fail to replace a belt on time then it will fail.
If you do lots of launches something in the drive train will fail

So look after it and it will be good to you

No real problems like your chocolate subaru engine.
Ayc pumps can fail when they get old but plenty of second hand ones about from breakers etc

Hi and welcome. Subaru Version 4s are known for piston slap, similar to the evo 4s being bad for crank walk.

As Lee has said, look after it and should be ok
