So I taxed and insured my Evo 4 on Tuesday after it being off the road since October. Yesterday it got home like this
I initially thought it had broken the cambelt but after removing the top cover the belt was ok. I stripped it down today and found both cambelt and balance belt ok and the timing still spot on.
After taking the head off I found this
It seems that one of the valve heads broke off and destroyed the head and piston in the process.
So that's the end of Evo ownership for me for a while. Will be selling as it is due to not having the time or motivation to repair it.
Hopefully will be back in a newer Evo before too long.
