broken solenoid !

refurbed my ayc pump as i was doing this the solenoid broke as they do
to be fair the pump was a mess.looked like it had been on the titanic!
rang harry hockley and it was 150 quid plus post and send your old broken solenoid.hmm sod this i will make my own. so to start get broken flange end out of main body

first op turn first end leaving extra long to hold for next op

next op onto the mill and machine the ports and drill holes measurements taken off broken solenoid

op 3 turn back end

the end of the poppet valve which runs in the solenoid and is driven by main body had also broke so i built up with weld and pot slot back in if this nad not of worked i would have made another

finally attach to main body and hope it works

Well it's looking good bench tested pump first before I put it back on car
Been on a road test tonight and its lookin good no leaks no ayc light!

Hope you wrote the measurements down but then you have the old one there to copy I'm sure they would sell
