Another noob thread - sorry!

I want to completely overhaul my brembo brakes on my IX. They squeak quite badly and pull a bit to one side.

I want to check the calipers are ok (aand possibly re-spray them) and also check and refit the pads (or replace them).

I iunderstand that copper grease can help prevent squealing?

Can anyone give me a DIY guide to removing pads/calipers. Checking them over. Refitting and bleeding so they nice and tight and squeak free!

Cheers

Good guide to bleeding cheers :)

I did notice on his brake pad removal and refit guide he doesn't use any copper grease. Is this necessary and if so where do you put it!!

Secondly does it make much difference if you put new pads in without the rattle plates? I know my car was poorly and cheaply maintained by previous owner and my money is on the fact that the plates won't be there!

It's the squeaking that annoys me and if I can eliminate that all is good :)

Furthermore any guides on removing calipers as I might as well go the whole hog and take them off, check them and paint them too
