Well when i bought my car there was a tiny little bit of rot just hidden under the nearside spoiler end panel, at the time it wasn't too bad so I left it...recently I noticed it had evolved into something a little more serious.......
Obviously this called for repair replacement, after weighing up the option of repalcing with a second hand bootlid (which could rot again or require paint) it was just as easy to get the existing lid repaired, the guy i gave it to cut away a large portion of the nearside edge of the boot, replaced the rotten plate, did some funky priming and corrosion protection and repainted the replaced section and reapplied laquer to the entire lid resulting in...
More than happy with the result, just waiting for my wheels and handles to come back from the same Guy, pics to follow!....
