Boost problem

Right my soon to be sold Evo is at the mappers at present it has a brand new s209 tt turbo on it and brand new intercooler and is boosting to 1.8 bar but that's it it looses all pressure like there's a boost leak. They checked it and its defo a mechanical loss not dump valve or solenoid problem. There is no whooshing sound to indicate where it's going and all pipe work seems ok??? So anyone else had this? Anywhere else the boost could go? He said engine is very strong so no problem there? Any ideas anyone ???

think you need to make up a bung and pressure test the pipe work from the turbo to the engine and check for leaks under pressure ,using a air line .

some thing like this to fit in the pipe work from the turbo, tyre valve in a tin can , crude but effective :O)

you need to elaborate, its hitting full boost 1.8 then how it hold through the rev range?

Yeah hits 1.8 then looses it like goin down a ramp he says will have graph tomoz

He says there's hot to be a leak but can't hear or feel anything it's baffling and doin my head just need it right to sell bloody thing, it's running present 300 at the wheels

what turbo and boost controllers on it?

Tt s209 and 3 port solenoid but he bypassed the 3 port and was same turbo brand spanker

why has he bypassed the 3 port?

Only to make sure it wasn't that tailing the boost off he also took dump valve off to check but was same he thinks maybe the inlet manifold???

has he maxed out the wastegate duty settings to try compensate
?
