Boost droping

Rite car bin fine all day gone to put my foot down and what happening is its peaks then drops fast it even popping at 4000rpm turn the boost down still just as bad at 1 bar iv had a look but can not see any thing blown off help needed plz

do a boost leak test mate, kits available on ebay, only way to find leak you may find recirc valve is not holding pressure it will be something small and silly. kits are only about 15 squid or you can make you own if your handy with diy

If it is the recirc valve how would I now iv look all round driving fine off boost just had a remap could that be it?

The easiest way is a boost leak test the long winded way is to remove it blank all the pipes up and see if your still dropping boost. The map won't effect the boost level unless its done straight from remap I would say. Grab a leak test buddy they are handy to have with a turbo car

Bin told it could be a plug or coil pack?

dropping boost = boost leak test 1st

Stay with that idea then move on to other idea's like plugs or coil packs

Is it hitting less boost than before or losing boost?
