I love doing the sprinting James.
The excitement and adrenalin is great with it being competitive.
Gets to serious at times though, i have said this year someone is going to get hurt.
Another car got smashed at combe yesterday, that's 4 this year.

Was exciting to enter a corner and not really knowing what might happen with sideways awesomeness.

I think my cars set up with your diff is the way to go for sure, I'm going to forget about power chasing :D

Next time use a real race track, Blyton is good for sprinting but for a trackday i think it's a tad narrow and not to demanding.
Book donington next time and see what i mean.

I kind of disagree Nick, blyton is excellent on a track day with great technical sets of bends, once you work them out you can get round the track very quickly. Hence why a few track slags saw themselves facing the wrong way through some of the corners :D

At the same time it lends itself to a great beginner track day, which is what I wanted for James and Si, James' Dad even got the urge and went out there with no problems, shifting 3rd to 5th in his Eco mode too :razz:

Obviously being flat its a bit less challenging, but I was at nurburgring a month ago and the pressure of driving that lap each time, then going to blyton and having pure fun kinds leaves me wondering which I prefer!

Two polar opposites though :p

The bug is now firmly set itself into my skin!

When I was at combe for spring action day 3 cars got trashed in a big way! Least Blyton it's only 8ft Maze fields you have worry about and not the armco!!

I'd hate to see what damage driving at speed through a maze field would do.


Will have to come to next day you all do as a group, only done two track day this year so far :(

You'd have to have a serious miscalculation to end up in a field though, or complete brake failure etc. We gave it death and got no where near :awesome:

I agree with you it is a fun track and fun for beginners etc.
But with the lack of corners that really test you it can become a little boring.
If it had some gradient and undulation in the corners i could be a lot better.
Hard to do on an old airfield i know ..lol.

Saying that if everyone enjoyed it and came back happy that's the main point.

I do agree with that, on the nurburgring your hunting for a clear lap so you can take the corners like they should be, at blyton I had two or three clear laps and found myself trying to find the next group of cars/victims to pass.

Still masses of fun, its hard on the car though more so than Nurburgring!
