Bluetooth MMCS

I am in my first few weeks of Evo X ownership. I am slowly getting to grips with the MMCS and its massive instruction book.
Two questions please:
(1) is there any way of connecting an iPod to the MMCS? I can see an audio jack socket on the bottom of the screen when open, but there is no way for the jack to be in with the screen shut. The video cable sockets look to be just that - video. Do they take iPods?
(2) Is it possible to connect an iPhone or any phone via Bluetooth? The voice command systems seems madly complex and the MMCS screen says system error when I select phone.
All advice welcome.

MMCS update

Ok, trial and error worked. Plus buying the MMCS manual.

I have connected an iPhone using the speech recognition function. This involved a ten minute set up routine that worked first time.

As for the iPod. Well, after following a few threads and links (thanks) I bought a Belkin RCA mini audio cable that had two leads that go into the video sockets under the heater controls, and one into the iPod.
Excellent sound but old school IT as the MMCS is passive so you have to run the music off the iPod.
