Blitz dump valve

After buying my first evo iv this weekend I was proud to drive it to work and show the boys. When ticking over the bonnet was lifted to hear the engine and the dump valve work. When revved there was nothing from the valve except laughs from my mates, yet when the car is actually driven the valve works perfectly! Is this norm or have I got a problem looming already?

because the car is barely making boost when revving in neutral.

Cars Arnt supposed to boost in neutrel so laugh back at your mates. Tell them to try and keep up while you are boosting

It will work if you manually open the throttle body via the cable/butterfly connection.

Not if you just throttle with the accelerator pedal

mine dump's just have to rev high and come off!
