Hi, new to the forum.
Can anyone tell me the max bhp I can get from my evo 6 with the standard turbo (with supporting mods obv)
I'd like to know before I look into upgrading the turbo. Thanks in advance

380bhp max on a stock engine and turbo

you will need

A big bag of money:shock:

255lph fuel pump
boost controller
induction kit
3" downpipe
3"decat pipe
3" exhaust system
better spark plugs
264 cams with vp's
re-mapped ecu

Thanks mate. My car has fuel pump, boost controller, induction kit, uprated plugs and remap and 3" cat back exhaust. Only has standard downpipe and decat and doesn't have cams. I was told it was 380 bhp when I got it. Im guessing the figures will be a bit lower without the cams and 3" downpipe etc? I was told it was 380/400

what boost are you running?

at best you will have about 350bhp.

320-330 lbft torque

Likely hood of getting 400 torque on full stg 1 is very slim
You only just get it on a 8mr and 9. Because they run bigger turbos, different cams and the mivec on the 9

The guy I got it from told me it was upto 410bhp when getting mapped but they took it down to 380 to be safe

if its on paper its in black and white..lots of people selling uprated cars say its got more power than it as .

As the lads say 380/380 is a limit as rule of thumb

My 5 runs 365 without the cams & running 1.6 bar but I wouldn't go any further without internal work as your looking for trouble.
Anybody can say there car runs but without a dyno printout it's just pub talk lol

the limiting factor on a e6 isnt the turbo its the bottom end.

I think for a 'safe' set up i wouldnt go over 350-360hp

i mapped a 6 which was stage 1 which made 370/400 ooooppppsss

I used to have an sti and the standard turbo was maxed out about 360bhp. I thought the evo would be around the same.

funny thing is my car made less power on TRL's rollers than anyone elses!!!

made more power on Area 52, an Reylands DD rollers than Matts
