I am after a dual 52mm a pillar pod setup with digital boost gauge and oil pressure.

Rspec website has some, just they are £60 per item I want, is this good or bad?

Couldnt find much on ebay, dont want anything stuck on the dash, looks untidy.

If anyone has any spare time to post a link up to some decent parts it would be appreciated! Or even a pic of their own setup!

Also my car needs some new tyres, 235 40 18 I beleive, whats the best reasonably priced brand, I used to run falken 452s on my SC 350z, do they perform ok on an evo? (evo 8)

Regards

Yeah it says each gauge comes with a fixing kit I'm unsure if that included the sensor.

At least the boost gauge is easy. Wire the live to the stereo and run the vacuum hose through to the engine bay I assume?

On their website now having a look the digital one look pretty fancy.

Thanks for the quick replys

They all dont have sender units with them and you only need a sender gauge for the oil pressure not the boost, geta t-piece for the boost gauge and a length of vacuum hose. Will have 2 or 3 wires which will be earth/ground, power and illumination.
Best place for the pods is on the A pillar, buy a 2 pod holder for 52mm gauges and will clip onto the A pillar. You will need to remove the original oil pressure sender from the rear of the block, remove the inlet manifold support bracket first (4 bolts) for more room, unscrew the original oil pressure sender from the rear of the block and get a t piece to screw into the rear of the block and for the original oil pressure sender and the aftermarket one as you cant bridge these or use original wire to the oil pressure light on the dash with the after market oil pressure gauge due to current change ;)

thanks phil. not purchased the gauges yet,

about to do so tonight! what would you say installation time is? i can use a ramp if needed.

also got a 5ohm resistor which i still need to solder under the drivers seat. is that just a simple snip the wires, solder it in and then reset the SRS light mate?

make sure the sender gauge is included and if in doubt i can get you them from store i use up here with both included together for about £20-22 and its plasma oil pressure gauge that changes colour with oil pressure :)
Yea and you dont even have to solder it on as i have just cut the wire before and pushed the resistor up inside one wire and other cut wire pushed it over the other resistor end. :) sometimes solder can change the current also. Yea your SRS light will remain off then mate.

ebay is your best bet mate for front vented grooved discs, some will offer mintax or pagid pads with the discs also. Thet are ok for a standard evo but i would not rate these it running 450+ BHP. I have a brand new set of Predator Pads by Black Diamond you could have cheap but i have no front discs mate.

Gauges

Hi,
If you need some help regarding the installlation of gauges etc then just get in touch.

We have all the adaptors for easy fitment (so no need to touch the original pressure switch).

All of our gauges include sensors if required and if you're specifically after digital then we have the full range of Evo LCD gauges in stock.

If "Plasma" is referring to these gauges I would personally steer clear:

PLASMA DISPLAY VOLTMETER GAUGE VOLTS FOR CAR, BOAT ETC 52mm | eBay

Our gauges are covered by full UK 12 months warranty & support. Just let me know if I can help.

Kind regards
David

Unfortunately we are not traders on here so it would not be fair on the other traders to openly quote you and I don't have PM facility.

I can certainly help with any info you require, just drop me an email to sales"AT"rspec.co.uk
