best boost controller

Its reaction times are shit. Its like saying "my PC in 1995 was awesome, so i still use it!"

I mean its your money, but there are so many other controllers out there that just don't get the credit they deserve. The AVC-R is overly complicated unless you've used one for ages.

The HKS EVC6 is made by someone else, not HKS themselves. Second hand they're a decent price.

Good I had the older evc in my old evo V worked well, so Now it's either an evc6 or avcr

The evc 6 and apexi are good controllers imo but can be little over complicated and overpriced.

it all depends what you want?
do you want to limit boost in lower gears?
do you want boost to tail off higher in the revs or hold more boost higher in the revs?

If you want maximum spool and a natural boost tail off then save your pennies and get a dawes device, its something you can easily fit and adjust yourself, pretty much nothing to go wrong with it and will save you a lot of money to spend on other goodies.

I'm Getting the bits I need for mapping I think the boost controller is all I need .

He is a proper mapper just reckons the electronic is better

Electronic is just good for adjusting yourself its the same solenoid so a decent mapper won't have a problem putting two setting on a switch for you and like said controlled via ecu if you want a pretty display in the car telling you what your gauge tells you go electric if you don't want to clutter your interior and have a cool switch like nightrider go with 3 port mapped in

Good point, also if you choose you want to move on from stage 1 mods, an EBC would be a better choice than 3 port, but I like 3 ports
