BC Coilover settings

Hi everyone.

Just wondering what you guys are running setting wise?

Gonna get mine in for a geo set up in the next week or so. But want to get the ride height and damper settings good first.

Anyone know ride height measurements from the wheel centre to the top of the arch front and back?

Preferred damper settings would be ace too as they are 1-30 on mine

Any help much appreciated.

Lol I was thinking more along the lines of going too low and effecting the roll centre etc

Like at what point would be too low and something like a roll centre kit needed

Get a roll center kit fitted before geo is done, they aren't expensive.
Massive difference on mine after fitting.

Mine are on the setting "fit for the bin". Just waiting for my Billies to arrive to replace them.
They have been on the car for 4 years though so it's not a bad innings for budget coilovers.

Yeah I have those springs too mine are the inverted type BC's too.

I think I'm running 15 front 20 rear, may switch them over from what I've read though.

Yeah IV hunted everywhere and can't find any roll centre kits for the 4,5,6

Only thing I've found is CliveW on MLR, he made his own :shock: emailed him to see if he has any info on how he did it/him make me some lol.

I wacked the them up to around 20 I think, purely do the fact the stock springs aren't hard and secondly cheap coil overs have preload and rebound in the same adjustment. Rather them run with slower rebound.

Best thing you can do is buy shock socks for them paint on the springs isn't very good and only a small amount of dirt will clog the locking rings up

Yeah b6lee told me he uprated the springs to 10/10 you can buy them straight from the bc website.

You can effect turn in and provoke more oversteer with certain settings (more so with what you mentioned)

I'm considering running them softer front higher rear but something like 20 front so turn in is still strong 25 rear to potentially help get the back end round.

I suppose the best thing to do is fiddle about until I feel happy with it.

Yeah he is, meant to be a bit hard for road driving but all depends what your after. Did think about replacing the springs on mine, would mean new locking rings as fronts are seized

Yeah you can, bit of a case of trial and error see how the car handles and adjust to how you want it.

Thanks for the advise. Not gonna be touching ride height as just had the geo done but always good to protect them for future adjustments!

Think I need to raise the car to get the roll centre better aligned if I can't get a kit

You sure B6lee? I can't find them on their website?

Mine isn't that low but I noticed my lower arms are almost parallel if not slightly past it which potentially ruins the roll centre

Just 7 onwards thanks for the idea though.

I really don't think they are available? Best I've found are in Japan and I'd be looking at £600 for the kit :shock:
