battery location

Hi guys.

As the title reads I'm looking to move the battery in my e4 from the engine bay to the boot to create more space around the air filter. Is there a kit I can buy to move the battery or is it a hone made job. Also is be needing a hidden jack point incase the battery dies unexpectedly.

Any ideas an all comments welcomed

I think that would be a nightmare with all the wiring tho...

This is what i have in my VI dan!

I had this fitted by CPP and i do believe the carbon box is the one Rick at carbon goodies does!

Took about an hour to fit! Very easy job to do!

That looks really good mate not just some dry cell sat bare might need to invest in one. what about all the wiring would you know of a place that sells a harness to or did you make your own

Really easy to do Dan!

Earth point is to the boot floor and the live run's from the fuse/relay block which connected to the battery in it's original position and the cable is ran inside the car via the passenger side under the carpet door sill trim's!

There is a few that sell the complete kit but not sure about the carbon battery box:razz:

So really its just like wiring an amp in then.. ha here's me thinking there's gonna be some technical stuff involved lol... I'm gonna check out that carbon goodies out now for it....

Simple to do, I bought a joining box for the engine bay so could mount that to the strut turret and keep all stock fuses off the battery terminal, cable to the boot, earthed and away we go..

Kept my box to the side

Think ill be getting this done for the weekend so what happens with the original earth that conects to the battery just just bolt it to the body or remove it from the car...?

Scrap off some paint and mount it to the body..bit of cooper grease or Vaseline
