Battery Cable

After some advice if anyone can help plz?

I'm going to de-lock my Evo (Basically fitting rear door handles to the front doors). My intentions are to fit an Anderson Plug in the boot with a cable running to the battery in the engine bay, this will give me the facility to open the boot and charge or jump start the battery from the boot therefore giving me power to the alarm to open the central locking.............So my question is what size cable do I need to do this??

As you are wanting to jump start you going to need 0 guage wire you only need to run one wire full length the live the earth can be bolted to the vehicle in boot.

How many amps is your battery? Im not sure of how the thickness compares to the gauge of the wire but as said 0 gauge should suffice. As long as the wire you choose can handle the amps your battery puts out comfortably then it would do the job. And remember the live you choose you should use same size wire for ground
