Bad vibrations

my nightmare evo 4 continues.

It has developed a really bad vibration till you get up to speed. Feel it through the clutch. It changes gear ok, and haS had a new clutch and fly wheel.

Garage think its coming from the gearbox area and plan to take the box out next week to see if they can find anything.

Anyone have any clues as to what might be causing it.

Have you checked for float on the crank ?

Has the clutch been checked, someone I know had her clutch replaced on her 8 and she got a real severe shaking through the pedal and it turned out to be a faulty clutch. Before you have the box ripped apart its worth checkin if not already done

Another though was the nosecone ok on the box where the relaese bearing runs. Was it cleaned and greased as that will cause clutch judder if its snagging on it or covered in old clutch gunk

Got the car back they stripped it could not find anything and put it back together and now is the smoothest its been since i bought it 14 months ago.

My question is did they find something they did not fit properly when they fitted the clutch and fly wheel 5 months ago. Seems funny it is so much better now. They also offered to let me pay cash to avoid the extra VAT. Does that sound like they have a guilty conscience,
