Bad thread on caliper :-(

I've just bought a set of new front discs and pads, the caliper bolts were really tight the whole way out. I had a look at the threads and they were a mess, so I re-cut them, the top one came out fine but the bottom one doesn't have enough left in it to make a good thread, and now it barely tightens up.. Is there any thing I can do with it? Or do I need another caliper?
