AYC pump and code 31?????

Hi all, the ayc pump is showing up all 3 lights on the dashboard. I have diagnosed and found codes 31 and 82.
I know about 82, but can any body help with 32?
I've read it's steer sensor system, but can anybody on expand on this and how I go about fixing it/looking into it more.

So it's not a short circuit, meaning the actually steering angle sensor is faulty, (rather than just not calibrated). Just as a check however: has the steering wheel or steering columb been disconnected at any point?
Other than that it could be a fault in the wireing harness and or a faulty plug/connector.

Do you have a multimeter available to you?

Ok so if you open that link I posted it should bring up an evo scan manual, page 11 deals with the code 31, it takes you through a step by step guide on diagnosing your problem by measuring voltages and continuity across connectors and sensors etc. You can hone in on the fault then.

Oh that's odd, might be something to do with the way the forum displays it
where the dots are in the link replace it with: &5/Workshop%20

If that fails google: AYC code 31 and it's the second result (EvoScan PDF)

Just realised it's for evo 4 and 5 but the method will be the same.
