hi just bought evo 4 and ayc light comes on some times but do not here any noise of any kind can any body shed an
y light on this as wen i turn car off and on ayc light stays off for a while thanks

you need to get a error code reading then you should be able to pin point the problem

Read the flash codes bridge pins 1&4 out of the obd connector with a piece of wire and read the flash codes on the dash displayed by the ayc lights long flashes are 10's short flahes are 1's so 2 long flashes followed by 3 short flashes would be 23

hi did i did the test of joinig pin 1-4 and i got 41 i am not sure but i think it stands for track position senser hope im right thanks for all your help if it is tps i still got to find it

Code 41 is quite common and TPS related you need to setup the tps sensor to 0.72v at closed throttle.

Is 41 the only code thats stored ?

as far as i know i only joined 1-4 i did not see the lights my self as i was under the dash my mate read the lights could you tell me were this tps sencer is thanks for your help.it is very nice of you

The TPS sensor is on the throttle body.

hi thanks for your reply much apprishated sorry for spelling misstakes. would it be best buy a new one or can you get good second hand as i think second hand on censors is a backwerd step if you can not trust source so is there any body you recomend thanks

You dont need a new one it needs setting up correctly with a multi meter

hi i did not think you can alter them so that means i do not know how i hope i dont need a new one thy cost 259 pounds. with pin one & for can i check all foult codes or is there alot combnations i would rather try most things myself that is the only way to lern sorry i have been a pain if you get fed up of me just tell me and i will not be ofended thank you for the help so far

You could try putting a pressure gauge on to the pump, that will tell you if its good, and the switch is faulty,
or whether the switch is good, and the pump is low on pressure give the fault reading.
Do a google search for a" ayc pump tester" from erento, that might give you a few more clues on whats happening to the output of a hydraulic system, than an electrical code number.
