Ayc light help

Fault 83 which came up as electric pump system13 fail-safe relay system fault ??? There r lots ov pumps and relays on a car anybody know which they r and where thanks

AYC pump?
It's somewhere under the car near the rear diff.

(touch wood) not had a problem with mine so far

You may be able to try an adjustable switch which is a fair bit cheaper than replacing the pump (£2000+ from Mitsubishi) but there's companies now that can refurb them for around £4-500 I think.
Personally I think the adjustable switch is just delaying the inevitable.

Yeh I've already spotted that cheers mate I'll av a look when I'm at my car next as mine is a Evo 6 hopefully they r all in the same place

You found a AYC repair firm yet? I know a couple of traders that do them for quite cheap.

It's booked in on Wednesday to see what problem is but apparently if it's the pump it's ok to drive, well so my mate says as his light has been on for months

Yeh it's fine to drive but your car will be different. Let me know how you get on!
