it is agreed that when the ecu throws up a fault it does need sorting, the problem here is that the fault thrown up is generalised so a general check over is worth doing to eliminate all the components that are involved in that fault code being thrown up.
I run a garage and up until now I have never had a dissatisfied customer. If the system we have implemented is wrong then we would not have cars comming from all over the this great Kingdom would we???
We would not get calls from garages in the west midlands area sending jobs that they are stuck on via trailer to do it for them and save face.
We deal with at least 4 Evo's a week & I have been specialising in Evo's for over 10 years and we have the latest EOBD Data/Diagnostics tools so I think I can speak with some form of authority

Hi fella, where about in Nuneaton are you?! I'm in Cannock, and it's always good to know an evo guy local!
I've had problems with my abs light! Put on a diagnostics, and drivers front was shown at fault! At a similar time, my Ayc lights came on also.
I replaced the sensor with a new one from Ross sport, and the three lights problem went, but the abs light will not go off!
When put back on diagnostics, no fault is showing, and you can see the speed readings live on a road test with the diagnostics still plugged in!
I've tried disconnecting the battery overnight a few times to see if that will clear it!
