AYC advice required

Hi everyone, i see there are many threads in relation to AYC problems but hoping somebody can give me a bit more advice.

I have a EVO 6.5 Tommi Makinen and the AYC light came on a few weeks ago. I've had the pump replaced with a newer 2nd hand pump and the light went off for say 24 hours but then it came back on intermitently. It is now on 99% of the time.

Assuming the pump is now working (mechanic says it is) could it just be that the codes need resetting or is there another reason why the light is still on??? How do you reset codes? Is it possible that the light can be on but with no fault??

Have you checked for fault codes?

Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for a few minutes, should wipe the codes

It could be an abs sensor playing up. Have you bled the system properly?

Bleed the system.
Reset codes but then don't forget you may need to do an idle reset aswell.
Tyre pressures or abs sensor.
