Auto Express photoshoot plea

Hi All

I need to try and sort out an Evo X for a photoshoot to feature in one of
the used buying guides that Auto Express do.

The owner of the car would need to take their car to either our studio in Derby or Beaulieu for the day (a shoot takes about 3 - 4 hours but with travelling time it would probably be a day out) and in return they would receive a full set of studio pictures (worth about £350-£400) and have their car in a national magazine. The car needs to be ideally not black or white but a colour. Also it needs to be a standard car and not modified, I’m sorry about this to all of you that have modified cars but we need to photograph a fair representation of what was available from the factory. I appreciate that this is a bit of an ask but before we try the local dealers we do like to see if any private owners would like a studio shoot of their car done via their respective forum.

If anyone is interested, please do not hesitate to contact me either via the forum or vicky@magiccarpics.co.uk for further information.

Many thanks

Are you also prepared to get a professional car cleaner to turn up to make the car look nice for the photo shoot?? As a lone drive will make it dirty

Hi

We don't have a professional car cleaner at the studio as what we have found in the past is that the cars are usually clean to begin with (simply because the people who have answered my plea in the past are people who keep their car washed and polished at all times - I appreciate this sounds a bit of a sweeping statement but it is our experience),so all that is required is a wash down with a proper cleaning cloth and a wipe over with a soft cloth.

This has been the case even when cars have been driven 80 miles in the pouring rain to get there (this is my personal experience after taking a couple of cars). However what we have done in the past is if the weather has proven to be inclement on the day or the forecast is not good, we have postponed the shoot until the weather is better and the owner is happier to take the car out.

Does this help?
Vicky
