Anything that should be done before?

Basically I have a full 3" system, 2.75" turbo elbow, walbro, hks filter, forge recirc, Apexi FC, gizzmo IBC and have a hardwire kit for the fuel pump on the way.

My injectors are working at 85-95% on full chat so I'm getting 750cc injectors to solve this problem.

My next mod was going to be HKS 272 cams inlet and exhaust with the pulleys and get it mapped. My gizzmo has 4 settings, 1.57, 1.41,1.40 and 1.75 and I run it on 1.57 as that is what it's always been on and run fine.

Should I prioritise something else instead of cams to get it running at its best. Was told it was about 350bhp, does that sound correct with the mods I have already? And is there many gains to be had once cams, injectors, hardwire and map are done?

You have all the right bits to possibly push to 400. Your rods will be right on the limit though.

You may also need a bigger turbo like an 80 series from an Evo 9 tho.

The for sale add said it was forged, I've checked the piston numbers and they are not standard numbers, it also has ARP head stud kit.

For arguments sake it is properly forged what sort of boost could I go upto before the standard turbo runs out of puff? If I found out it is fully forged is the GT3076 a good upgrade with tubular manifold obviously?

What model is it, i.e what turbo?

Most will be maxed out by 400 and you'll be lucky to see that I'd say.

Gt3076r is a awesome turbo. Bit laggy, peak boost at 4000rpm but with the right mods you'll see 500/500 :)

One more little bit I've been advised to get and will be for my next tweak is the bottom intercooler pipe as the std. one is quite restrictive :)

Quite like the sound of 500/500! Is there a cheaper option to the lower intercooler pipe? I've only found the cheap eBay ones which are a no go or the full kits for mega money!

Have you pulled the sump to visually check the rods?

I haven't as of yet but I've had a spark plug out and checked numbers on the piston and they aren't the standard numbers, it also has ARP head stud kit, next oil change ill be checking the rods!

Good man, arp s could have been fitted on a head gasket change, best be safe than sorry!

It said its had the valves reground, polished and balanced crank and HKS 1.2mm head gasket, it's got 59k genuine miles and has Goodyear timing belt so I'm pretty sure it's all been off and done :) everything else that was in the add it has got so I'm hoping the rods have been done! But would rather wait and do it properly instead of seeing a rod come out!

I've not tried to get one yet but I take it there would be spare pipes around from cars with bigger intercoolers that have ended up with turbo pieces through them.
