My dad bought a little obd 2 bluetooth interface off ebay the other day for £16 and it connects to iphone and android phones, had a little play the other night and for the price its rediculously good!
I can view and reset fault codes, view live engine info, and its even got a built in dyno wich can work out your bhp and torque(not sure how acurately tho!)

Anyone elsed used these before? There are various versions you can buy.

Android Torque ELM OBD OBD2 Bluetooth Diagnostic Interface | eBay

This is the one my dad bought, there are more expensive versions available but this one seems to work fine from what ive seen...... The more expensive ones probly have faster data transfer though.

You can effectively use it as a wireless gauge pod too, a screen on your phone full of what ever gauges you want, up to 6 of them

Oh and it does 0-60 times too

Im yet to test alot of it but i have seen live engine info and i have read and cleared faults.

It says this one should work with iphone but i dont think it would because i think the iphone versions use wifi instead of bluetooth, they are on ebay for around £50 but the app you need is called dashcommand and its £35 whereas the "torque" app for android im sure is less than a fiver. Shame really cus i have an iphone, dont wanna pay £35 for an app and then find out it dont work.

No that's why I have you yoda down the road I can speak in code to you haha. Na I think it's a cool lil gadget, I don't have any fault codes since I have sorted everything out now anyways.

I have my own dilemma now though regarding gadgets as I need a new stereo and all the ones I like are double dinn but I also like my 3 gauges that take up one of the dinn slots hmmmm I need a triple dinn me thinks
