As title.....looking for a bit of info

Long story cut short....
Put my 12 bore into euroguns for them to sell for me (big shooting place)
They don't just 'buy' 2nd hand guns but will sell it and then pay you....that's fine it's not as though I needed the £'s , I just needed it away from the house

Got a txt message yesterday that they had run a 50% sale Thursday and shut down that night
I went st down there yesterday afternoon and all was true , place all locked down
I tripped over and fell over the gates on the front drive and by the time I managed to get back on my feet I was at the back door of the owners house....(they live in on the same land).....owners are still living in the house but after tripping over again and landing on the door handle ....that was also locked even though I could see them going into another room
I checked last night on company's house and they are a limited company.....
People have said 'recievers' came in 18.30 Thursday night and told all staff they had 30 mins to get off the land????
Now IF receivers had been wouldn't there be contact details on doors / gates etc to be able to speak to someone???
There is a piece of cardboard on the drive gates saying 'sorry shop closed due to reasons beyond our control'......and that's it??
To me it looks like they have sold as much as poss on Thursday BEFORE any receivers show up?
Anyone got any ideas on how to get my gun back........sensible ones though it took me 5 years to get 1 granted
Old bill was a waste of fuel/breath and time

Yea mate its civil matter but the gun is rightfully yours so the shop is liable to pay you for it and if they do not then you must also take civil action against them. You could go to the local police station and explain your gun was for sale there and what has happened but they will tell you thats its a civil matter even if this does seem like theft. There is a financial ombudsman you could call or view the web site to be aware of your rights. Personally i would go to the house demand payment for my gun and ask them why they took it to sell on your behalf knowing they had papers served previously about receivers closing the business and that i would go to the local papers about this and persue civil action if necessary but the courts will refund you for any court costs incurred if the other party found guilty.

Cheers bud,
Don't think tbh the receivers have been in yet .....there are no official signs/notices to tell you who to make contact with
Stinks like they are /was trying to grab as much cash as possible with the half price on everything??...have been told that was also on the guns so the cheeky ****s could of sold my shotgun half price?
Got to phone old bill in morning (firearms) and I'm going to tell them I phoned 2 weeks ago to take it off sale and I would collect....
That way if it's been sold by rights it's been sold without my permission ...to me that's theft :)

yea its theft if they sold it but how much did the sell it for mate and they could spin you a tale unless you left a reserve on it. At the end of the day you either want the gun returned how it was gave for sale or the price it was worth. I would contact the people who you gave the gun to to sell for you and advise them verbally that you want the gun or the money and also have a letter of intention for view of prosecution with you that you typed out and hand it to them so that you can start civil proceedings. I know this sucks ass and you dont need the hassle but its the principle and the fact you dont have the gun you paid for or any money for it. First 30 mins is free with a solicitor and you could seek advice there also but even a solicitors letter will cost you money. I would go late mate and be round at their door demanding it was rectified but without being to aggressive and report it to the police as a firearm issue should be dealt with as a priority when the gun is still registered in your name. Some people done have regret for what they do mate. Hope you get this sorted.

Since my visit yesterday they have put a sign on the gates saying all people who have left a gun for repairs/storage or sale on there behalf will be contacted within the next week to collect .

They have also put a sign up saying anyone entering and police will be notified of trespass ...

In a way they have me by the balls......slightest threat from me and I loose the shotgun grant

I'll see what becomes of the old bill in the morning

Bad times!
I have a decent PCP .22 rifle but not shot a shot gun in years.
