Anti lag on Evo 9

Hi mate

It's is possible to get a mild form of anti lag which we call "pops and bangs" on your standard ecu,you will have to get your map tweaked a little. This gives the odd backfire now and then

If you want the real thing which is on a switch you would have to go for an aftermarket ecu like a vipec or motec.

Does this "pop & bang" happen from stand still when reving, or when on the move going up the gears.
Very suprised it can be done on a standard map !!!!

It can't be done on standard map the map has to be altered

It's the standard ecu that allows this

I found when I had pops and bangs on my car It would usually happen when I was slowing Down from high revs.

Your stock ecu can also be mapped for launch control with ALS

How much would that set me back m8 ?

I'm not sure how much a remap costs int the uk, I guess around 200-300 pounds roughly maybe slightly more.

You need a few mods already in place before you get your car remapped.

Nice 1 , but if I was to go for an after market ecu like motec or something , how much would it cost and what sort of benefits would I get from this other then being able to run some proper anti lag and launch control .. Thanx for the help

Motec won't get you much change from £2000 supplied fitted and mapped. Aftermarket management can let you run some amazing features. I have ALS and launch control on my 9 and i only get a few pops when the revs past 2.5k, downside is ALS will destroy your turbo quicker.
